	thank you for trying out UZEvProf from UZful Software!
UZEvProf is a MS-Windows Event Profiler, which lets you statistically
examine the number of events posted to each running application.  This
utility immediately illuminates the hidden costs of each program
executing on your computer, and gives a partial answer to the question:
why is the computer running so slow?

	Windows events are normally generated and dispatched from each
Windows application to cause it to do work.  When too many events are
generated by an application (specially, if it's relatively unimportant),
the computer has to spend time to handle each of them, thus leaving less
time to do other (perhaps more important) tasks.

 	In the first minute of using this tool, we found out that the
MSDOS window produces upto 200 events per second (every 5 milliseconds!)
even when sitting idle in the background (when you enable the background
tasking option in its Settings; turning off this option made it behave
properly in this respect).

	You should first verify that the distribution you received
matches the checksum advertised on your distribution channel (bulletin
board, shareware distributor, FTP site, Usenet group, ...) to avoid
acquiring viruses. If you are not sure, contact UZful Software directly
for a copy of the software. Then, look at these files in order to get
UZEvProf properly installed on your system:

packing.lst	list of files that should be provided with this
		distribution. The file is PGP-certified against
		corruption (you should verify the certification) and
		contains checksums (for the Unix sum command) for each
		file. If you need the "sum" utility, contact UZful
		Software for a free copy.

uzevprof.hlp	Documentation for UZEvProf, including installation and
		usage instructions. You can browse this help file with
		the Windows Help utility. If you need to learn how, then
		use the "Help" menu from the Program Manager window (or
		any other compliant application), select the "How to use
